Forward Deployed Engineer (AI Connectivity)

Location: Remote within the United States; listed location is Arizona

Salary: $192,010–$274,300 annually, plus potential equity and bonus

hirify.global builds an API and AI connectivity platform for securing, managing, accelerating, governing, and monetizing API and AI traffic across models and clouds.

What you will do

• Design, build, and implement hirify.global-based solutions across cloud, hybrid, and on-premise environments.
• Lead hands-on implementations of API gateways, AI gateways, service mesh, developer portals, and connectivity technologies.
• Build automation frameworks, migration tooling, custom integrations, reusable accelerators, plugins, and infrastructure tooling.
• Drive migrations from legacy API management platforms to hirify.global and develop production-grade CI/CD and Kubernetes automation.
• Work directly with customer developers, platform teams, architects, security teams, and executives to solve complex technical challenges.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to influence roadmaps and create reusable architectures, documentation, and best practices.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in customer-facing engineering, platform engineering, professional services, SRE, or software engineering.
• Hands-on experience with API gateways, API management, integrations, or distributed systems.
• Strong Kubernetes, cloud-native infrastructure, Linux, networking, cloud infrastructure, and DevOps expertise.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP and Infrastructure-as-Code or automation tools such as Terraform, Helm, Ansible, or GitOps frameworks.
• Programming experience with Python, Go, Java, JavaScript, or Lua.
• Strong communication, collaboration, prioritization, and problem-solving skills in complex enterprise environments.

Nice to have

• Experience in API management, open source, middleware, SaaS, or infrastructure software companies.
• Experience supporting AI connectivity, governance, platform modernization, or cloud-native transformation initiatives.
