What you will do

• Design, build, and evolve scalable, reliable services and components including system design, API design, and data modeling.
• Write, review, and maintain high-quality, well-tested code, driving engineering best practices across the team.
• Take end-to-end ownership of complex features or services, from technical design through deployment and iterative improvement.
• Collaborate with product, design, and cross-functional engineering teams to translate business problems into technical solutions.
• Safely integrate and operate AI/ML-enabled solutions that improve outcomes and apply AI/ML concepts to real-world products.
• Contribute to technical direction through design reviews, architectural improvements, and mentoring other engineers.

Requirements

• 8+ years of relevant professional experience or a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Proven experience owning services or components through the full software development lifecycle.
• Proficiency in at least one modern programming language (e.g., Java, Kotlin, GraphQL, grpc, Spring boot).
• Strong understanding of system design, API design, and data modeling concepts.
• Experience building distributed systems, RESTful APIs, and microservices.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure code, and DevOps practices.
• Experience working on systems that integrate with multiple services or domains, ensuring reliability, scalability, and effective observability.

Nice to have

• Experience designing and evolving service or multi-service architectures at scale for resiliency and performance.
• Track record of leading technical design efforts and influencing architectural decisions.
• Hands-on experience with data-driven decision making and improving system health.
• Familiarity with AI-driven systems and experience safely integrating AI/ML-enabled solutions.
