What you will do

• Enhance logging and metrics processing capabilities to ensure seamless data persistence and customer adoption.
• Optimize storage layout for object storage and improve overall storage efficiency across the platform.
• Extend logic for efficient querying and aggregation of stored data, accounting for layout and ordering.
• Design and implement advanced algorithms and data structures, often working at the system and hardware level.
• Act as a core contributor to hirify.globalsearch, building data-intensive features and increasing test coverage.
• Collaborate with a globally distributed team and engage with the open-source community to resolve issues.

Requirements

• Strong core Java skills, including proficiency with standard libraries, data structures, and concurrency constructs.
• Excellent understanding of concurrent and parallel programming principles.
• Solid background in applied data processing, algorithms, and data structures.
• Familiarity with storage systems and low-level OS abstractions.
• Proven track record of designing and delivering high-quality, scalable software solutions.
• Must be based in the United States.

Nice to have

• Prior experience building products with hirify.globalsearch.
• Background in developing databases, search engines, OS, or cloud services.
• Experience leading and owning cross-functional technical initiatives.
• Experience contributing to open-source projects and familiarity with CI/CD workflows.
