What you will do

• Assist with end-to-end procurement for R&D categories including lab consumables, reagents, equipment, and scientific software.
• Execute time-sensitive purchases quickly and accurately to support research timelines.
• Aid in sourcing, evaluating, and onboarding scientific suppliers, supporting communications and basic negotiations.
• Maintain contract records, assist with contract administration, review, and execution with Legal and the Procurement Manager.
• Partner with scientists, lab managers, R&D operations, Finance, Legal, and Quality to understand requirements, timelines, and contractual considerations.
• Ensure procurement activities comply with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and ethical standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain, Life Sciences, or a related field (or in progress).
• 1–2 years of procurement, sourcing, or vendor-management experience, ideally supporting R&D or scientific organizations.
• Basic experience sourcing scientific materials, equipment, and research services.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to travel up to 10%.

Nice to have

• Experience in biotech, pharma, diagnostics, or research-driven startups.
• Familiarity with CRO/CDMO engagements and lab operations.
• Exposure to procurement or ERP systems (Prendio, NetSuite, Oracle) and contract management processes.
• Professional certifications (CPSM, CPM, CSCP) or ongoing pursuit.
• Experience in fast-paced, growth environments and willingness to take on increasing responsibility.
