VP of Technology - Head Architect (AI)

Location: Mountain View, California, United States

Base pay: $384,500–$520,500 annually, plus eligible cash bonus, equity rewards, and benefits.

What you will do

• Lead architecture for the Consumer Platform, with deeper ownership of Tax Platform capabilities.
• Define technology strategy and translate business goals into durable, scalable platform architecture.
• Evaluate solution designs, technical feasibility, governance, and non-functional requirements across the technology ecosystem.
• Drive AI-native solutions that improve customer outcomes across tax, personal finance, and money experiences.
• Partner with business, product, design, care, technology, and senior leadership stakeholders across global organizations.
• Coach Distinguished and Principal Engineers and build a high-performing engineering organization.

Requirements

• 15+ years of product and platform development experience and a BS/MS in computer science or equivalent.
• 3+ years of leadership experience managing and coaching globally distributed teams.
• Outstanding experience delivering SaaS at scale and developing full-stack applications across architecture, services, applications, data, analytics, AI, and marketing technologies.
• Experience delivering AI- and data-powered customer experiences and designing highly available systems.
• Strong business acumen, strategic thinking, stakeholder influence, and experience driving organizational, technology, and business transformations.
• Ability to operate strategically and tactically, communicate across engineering and executive levels, and deliver outcomes with velocity.
