Senior Fullstack Software Engineer (SaaS Security): Building and optimizing customer-facing applications for a SaaS Security Posture Management platform with an accent on app onboarding and Role-Based Access Control (RBAC). Location: Hybrid in the San Francisco Bay Area, CA. Work will be in office once the Bay Area office opens.
Salary: $180,000–215,000 annually

What you will do
- Own and continuously improve the customer onboarding experience for SaaS applications.
- Design and implement a new Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) system using Google Zanzibar.
- Build and maintain Python and Django backend services and APIs for application workflows and user features.
- Partner closely with Product Managers, Customer Success, and Design to identify UX pain points and translate customer needs into technical solutions.
- Develop application experiences tailored to different customer personas and job functions.
- Take ownership of technical design decisions, balancing usability, scalability, performance, and maintainability.
Requirements
- Strong technical and non-technical communication skills.
- A quality-first engineering mindset, including writing well-tested code with strong unit test coverage.
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, including object-oriented design and data modeling.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with Python 3 and Django for production-grade backend services and APIs.
- Experience designing and evolving backend systems that support user-facing workflows, with attention to usability, scalability, and maintainability.
- Comfort working with authentication, authorization, and permissions models (e.g., RBAC/ABAC), or a strong interest in building these systems.
