TL;DR

Sales Manager, Business Development: Managing and growing high-performing business development teams to exceed sales targets by coaching, developing, and recruiting team members. Focus on analyzing sales results, improving systems and processes, and aligning with sales leadership across segments.

Location: Hybrid role with office attendance required twice per week in Vancouver, Toronto, Dublin, or Sydney.

Salary: $84,200–$126,400 CAD annually + $45,400–$68,000 CAD uncapped commission annually.

What you will do

  • Manage and grow high-performing business development teams.
  • Responsible for exceeding sales targets and holding team members accountable to sales metrics and KPIs.
  • Identify areas for improvement and actively coach and develop dynamic teams.
  • Recruit team members for ongoing and future headcount needs.
  • Work closely with Sales Leadership and cross-functional teams, collaborating on process and program improvements.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated success as both a top performing salesperson and team leader/manager.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience developing sales teams through regular 1:1’s, continuous training and coaching.
  • Experience working in fast-paced and high-growth technology companies.
  • Extraordinary communication and organizational skills, with the ability to gain buy-in and motivate a team.
  • Growth mindset when it comes to process improvement and new technologies, especially AI.
  • Must be based in Vancouver, Toronto, Dublin, or Sydney and attend office minimum twice per week.

Nice to have

  • Sales experience and training at a leading tech/IT company.
  • Experience at a SaaS company.
  • Experience with cold calling and cold outreach.
  • Strong understanding of sequencing and cadences (Salesloft/Outreach).
