What you will do

• Create industry-leading, high-quality 3D characters that balance visual fidelity with performance and gameplay needs.
• Collaborate closely with Art Directors and Leads to define and drive artistic vision across projects.
• Mentor and support both internal and external character artists, providing thoughtful, actionable feedback.
• Oversee the quality and consistency of all character content, ensuring alignment with artistic standards.
• Research and adopt new techniques and workflows to continually push the quality of character art.
• Integrate assets directly into the game engine and collaborate on resolving technical or artistic challenges.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a 3D Character Artist in the game industry.
• Experience shipping at least one AAA title from start to finish.
• Strong traditional art foundation — anatomy, proportion, composition, color theory.
• Advanced proficiency in Maya, ZBrush, Photoshop, and Substance Painter/Designer.
• Solid understanding of game production workflows, including high-/low-poly modeling, PBR materials, UV layouts, and optimization.
• Excellent communication, organization, and prioritization skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with Mari, Houdini, Unreal, or Unity.
