What you will do
- Act as a link between Tech and Art departments to ensure proper communication and understanding.
- Lead R&D for all tech art subjects, improving art pipelines and artistic quality.
- Work with all departments to ensure overall project performance is up to target while preserving visual quality.
- Create shaders using node-based tools like Unreal’s Material Editor and Unity’s Shader Graph.
- Support Art with visual scripting (e.g., Unreal’s Blueprints) for basic art asset functionality.
- Serve as a mentor for less experienced Technical Artists to help them evolve their skills.
Requirements
- 2.5+ years of professional experience as a Technical Artist in the Games Industry with at least 1 game released.
- Thorough knowledge of Unreal game engine.
- Sufficient knowledge of tools like 3d Studio Max or Maya, and Photoshop.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Love to collaborate and to work within a team.
- Love playing and creating games.
Nice to have
- Experience with any commonly used code-based shader creation language.
- Experience with developing and releasing game(s) on consoles.
- Experience with any proprietary game engines and/or Unity.
- Experience with tools and pipelines of Animation.
