What you will do

• Lead a global team of software engineers, providing technical oversight, mentorship, and management.
• Drive implementation, integration, and production support of storage software.
• Execute on storage engineering software automation and lifecycle management projects.
• Work with RESTful web services, distributed databases, storage hardware, and cloud storage to build automation software.
• Ensure platforms comply with SDLC, industry design practices, resiliency, scalability, and cloud computing strategy (AWS, GCP).
• Design, build, implement, test, and monitor best-in-class software components for Storage Engineering.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience leading a software development team.
• Hands-on experience with Java (17/11) and thorough knowledge of object-oriented software engineering concepts.
• Experience with distributed systems and RESTful web services.
• Proficiency in Hibernate (JPA), SQL, and Dependency Injection frameworks (e.g., Guice or HK2).
• Hands-on experience in REST API/micro-service design and implementation (preferably with Jersey/JAX-RS or Dropwizard).
• Knowledge of modern application design, best practices, and infrastructure.

Nice to have

• Basic understanding of datacenter infrastructure fundamentals, storage, networks, compute, and containers.
