What you will do

• Lead an AI-first engineering team where coding agents generate a significant portion of the codebase.
• Own the end-to-end delivery of a mission-critical back-office system and a marketplace for borrowers and investors.
• Establish and enforce uncompromising standards for code quality, testing, and system reliability.
• Manage and mentor a team of 3–6 engineers, evolving them into AI-native builders.
• Design and operate development workflows where humans act as architects and quality gatekeepers.
• Ensure strict data security and compliance for sensitive financial information.

Requirements

• Minimum 6 years of professional software development experience.
• Minimum 3 years in a team lead or engineering manager position, managing 3+ developers.
• Hands-on experience with AI coding agents in production workflows (AI-First mindset).
• Strong technical proficiency in system design, architecture, and code reviews.
• Proven ability to thrive in fast-paced startup environments with high ownership and minimal bureaucracy.
• Deep understanding of security and compliance regarding financial data.

Nice to have

• Experience in fintech, real estate finance, or lending platforms.
• Strong background with Python backend and React/Next.js frontend.
• Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Success in implementing AI-heavy development processes in previous roles.
• Experience building two-sided marketplace platforms.
