TL;DR

Lead Project Manager: Leading high-stakes projects and examination series for a UK education charity, ensuring timely and on-budget delivery with an accent on operational excellence, customer advocacy, and cross-functional leadership. Focus on managing complex project portfolios, stakeholder engagement, and driving continuous improvement in assessment services.

Location: Hybrid working: 2 days a week in one of the offices across England (Milton Keynes or Manchester)

Salary: £54,900–£61,300

What you will do

  • Manage multiple examination series for UK and international customers, meeting contractual SLAs and compliance.
  • Lead cross-functional workstreams supporting strategic priorities.
  • Act as a customer advocate in technology discussions to influence delivery plans.
  • Provide clear leadership across cross-functional project teams, coaching and embedding high-quality practices.
  • Build strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and internal teams, acting as a key escalation point.
  • Produce clear, insightful reporting for senior stakeholders, including financial forecasting and scenario analysis.

Requirements

  • Hold a recognised Project Management qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Highly organised, able to prioritise effectively and make sound decisions under pressure.
  • Communicate clearly and confidently, including writing concise reports with financial analysis.
  • Solve problems pragmatically, adapt to change, and remove delivery blockers.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, including influencing, negotiating, and building trust.
  • Bring curiosity, resilience, and a continuous improvement mindset.

Hiring process
