What you will do

• Build and evolve the game engineering organization, ensuring clear structure, strong leadership, and effective cross-team collaboration.
• Mentor and grow Technical Directors, enabling autonomous, high-performing technical leadership across game teams.
• Champion engineering workflows that prioritize speed, ease of use, and efficient delivery from project setup to live service integration and release processes.
• Own and evolve client-side shared technology, ensuring common frameworks, Unity integrations, and game-side tools accelerate delivery.
• Establish and uphold best practices for code quality, performance, observability, and maintainable technical documentation.
• Lead talent strategy for game engineering, including recruiting, hiring, and retaining exceptional talent.

Requirements

• Proven track record as a VP or senior engineering leader within a games company, delivering live or service-based titles.
• Experience managing and developing Technical Directors across distributed, multi-location teams.
• Demonstrated ability to design organizations, optimize workflows, and integrate new technologies, including AI, to accelerate development.
• Deep technical credibility with expertise in Unity and games as a service.
• Strong understanding of the game development lifecycle, including live operations and content update pipelines.
• Skilled communicator able to inspire and influence across disciplines, seniority levels, and cultures.
