Salary: $245,000–$270,000 + Equity

What you will do

• Structure, negotiate, and advise on commercial contracts including SaaS agreements, technology licenses, and vendor agreements.
• Help build out commercial function by developing templates, playbooks, and workflows to drive efficiency.
• Apply deep knowledge of contract law, IP, and privacy, understanding the nuances of law as it relates to AI.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Operations, and Agent Development teams.
• Understand and manage risk in the context of a hyper-scaling business with sound judgment.
• Train and mentor more junior legal team members as the team grows.

Requirements

• 6+ years of legal experience, with a combination of large law firm and in-house tech company experience.
• Strong background in negotiating and managing complex commercial contracts, preferably in SaaS, AI, or enterprise software.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to partner with both legal and non-legal stakeholders.
• Proactive mindset and the ability to navigate ambiguity in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment.
• Must be able to work on-site in New York, NY.

Nice to have

• Experience with privacy/regulatory frameworks and advising on data processing agreements.
• Passion for AI, with a deep understanding of AI products and LLMs.
• Significant law firm experience at a top-tier, internationally recognized law firm.
• Industry specific knowledge in Financial Services, Healthcare, Telecoms, Insurance, and/or Consumer.
