What you will do

• Dive into repos and PRs to identify patentable breakthroughs in causal AI and HPC optimization.
• Lead the strategy for protecting proprietary technology and custom causal algorithms, building the "Causal Moat."
• Implement rigorous "defensibility hygiene" ensuring appropriate timestamps and version-controlled records of invention.
• Draft and manage high-quality patent applications, acting as the primary bridge between technical innovations and the USPTO.
• Manage the global IP portfolio, deciding what to patent versus what to keep as a trade secret.

Requirements

• Technically lethal: able to read Python/C++ or follow complex technical architecture diagrams, with a degree in CS, EE, Physics, or Math.
• 4–8 years of experience at a top-tier firm or in-house.
• USPTO Registered Patent Attorney (J.D.) or a highly experienced Patent Agent with a track record of winning Section 101 battles in AI/Software.
• Strategic and fast, understanding that in a startup, speed is a key feature for high-quality work.
