Government, Policy & Regulatory Affairs Manager (AI, Telecommunications): Shaping future technology and telecommunications legislation and policy in EMEA with an accent on tracking policy evolutions, developing engagement strategies, and providing actionable guidance on regulatory aspects. Focus on leading EU legislative initiatives, ensuring compliance with tech/telecom regulations, and building relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Location: Remote, must be based in the United Kingdom or Ireland

What you will do

  • Shape future technology and telecommunications legislation and policy.
  • Monitor and track policy and regulatory developments in EMEA at EU and national levels.
  • Provide analysis and actionable guidance on policy and regulation to cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Contribute to policy position development and engagement strategy with EU institutions and governments.
  • Lead selected EU legislative initiatives, developing policy and advocacy strategy.
  • Manage government, policy & regulatory affairs for a subset of EMEA countries, ensuring compliance.

Requirements

  • At least 8 years of relevant public policy and/or advocacy experience in technology, digital, or telecoms sectors.
  • Bachelor's Degree (or 6 years with a Master's Degree).
  • Keen understanding of EU and UK politics, policy, legislative processes, and government relations.
  • Collaborative spirit, ability to work independently, and drive initiatives.
  • Critical thinking, good judgment, and ability to balance priorities.
  • Strong communication skills and strategic thinking.
  • English: B2+ required.

Nice to have

  • Experience working with the European Commission, Parliament, Council, and Member State governments.
  • Knowledge of national telecommunications policy, regulatory, and compliance landscape.
  • Experience working with product teams.
  • Familiarity and experience in drafting regulatory filings and legislative consultation submissions.
  • Knowledge of German, French, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, or other languages.
