What you will do

• Develop and execute government engagement strategies in Ohio to build networks with officials, regulators, and economic development agencies.
• Monitor and influence legislation and policies regarding taxation, zoning, and electricity grid policies affecting data centers.
• Lead community outreach and stakeholder management plans involving local leaders, advocacy groups, and businesses.
• Represent the company at public hearings, town halls, and in local media opportunities.
• Manage crisis communications and respond to community concerns or media scrutiny to reduce reputational risk.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with legal and business teams to align engagement with project execution timelines.

Requirements

• 5-10 years of experience in government relations, public policy, or regulatory affairs.
• Strong understanding of US local government structures (state, county, township, and municipal levels).
• Experience with data center or large-scale industrial infrastructure projects.
• Familiarity with energy policies, tax incentives, and environmental regulations.
• Proven ability in lobbying, stakeholder engagement, and coalition-building.
• Must be based in or able to work hybrid in Ohio, USA
