TL;DR

Project Manager of Business Systems & Process Automation (Fintech): Leading and coordinating cross-departmental projects focused on business needs, workflow automation, and system optimization with an accent on serving as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, development team, credit union partners, and vendors. Focus on ensuring seamless functionality, quality control, and continuous improvement of the organization’s proprietary software.

Location: This is an in-office position in San Diego, CA

Salary: $70,000 to $90,000 per year

What you will do

  • Manage and prioritize projects across all departments, aligning with business objectives and automation goals.
  • Translate business requirements into clear functional and technical specifications for the development team.
  • Partner with developers throughout the software lifecycle, including planning, testing, and deployment.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for the organization’s proprietary software platform.
  • Identify opportunities to automate workflows and streamline business processes.
  • Oversee quality control efforts, including validation of system changes and issue resolution.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of experience in project management, business systems analysis, or process improvement.
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycles and system testing practices.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and external partners.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

Nice to have

  • Experience with proprietary or enterprise software platforms.
  • Background in financial services or credit union environments.
  • Familiarity with workflow automation and system integrations.
  • Project management certifications (PMP, Agile, or similar).
