What you will do

• Design and deliver production-grade AI agents for healthcare, handling sensitive patient and member interactions with HIPAA compliance.
• Drive the Agent Development Life Cycle from initial pilot through deployment and continuous iteration in production environments.
• Partner directly with healthcare leaders and technical teams to understand challenges and build transformative AI agents at scale.
• Develop deep expertise in healthcare systems, workflows, and interoperability standards to translate understanding into exceptional AI experiences.
• Guide the evolution of hirify.global's core platform by surfacing unmet needs, prototyping new tools, and collaborating with research, product, and platform teams.

Requirements

• Experience building and scaling end-to-end production systems.
• Strong technical problem-solving skills, especially in fast-changing, ambiguous environments.
• A builder and tinkerer's mindset with high agency to overcome obstacles and ship.
• Comfort working directly with customers to understand their needs and solve real-world problems.
• Excellent communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences.
• Genuine interest in healthcare and improving patient/member experiences.
• Must work on-site in New York, NY.

Nice to have

• Experience in healthcare technology, health IT, or working with healthcare organizations.
• Familiarity with major EHR ecosystems (Epic, Cerner/Oracle Health, athenahealth) and healthcare compliance (HIPAA, PHI).
• Experience building or deploying AI/LLM systems in production, or as a founder/founding engineer.
• Familiarity with AI agent tools like eval frameworks, RAG pipelines, and prompt engineering.
• Prior experience with React, TypeScript, and/or Go.
