TL;DR

Brand Intern (Social Media & Community Management): Supporting marketing and community engagement for AAA game titles, including social media planning, content creation, and community interaction with an accent on using industry-standard tools and contributing to active game development efforts. Focus on enhancing understanding of marketing's role in game development and player engagement.

Location: Remote internship that begins with a short onboarding experience at our San Carlos, CA studio (1-2 weeks). The work arrangement for the remainder of the program (onsite, hybrid, or remote) will be confirmed prior to the start date. Must be legally eligible to work in the United States.

Compensation: $20-25 per hour, plus a stipend.

What you will do

  • Acquire skills using industry-standard social media management, analytics, content scheduling, and digital design tools (e.g., Sprout, Hootsuite, Google Analytics, Photoshop).
  • Participate in game marketing and community engagement aspects, including social media planning, content creation, and campaign support.
  • Support marketing and community team members with content creation, scheduling posts, organizing assets, and monitoring feedback.
  • Enhance understanding of marketing and community efforts in game development, launches, and player engagement.

Requirements

  • Enrolled as a college Junior or Senior (graduating Fall/Winter 2025 or Spring 2026).
  • Pursuing a degree in Marketing, Art, Game Art, Game Development, or related fields.
  • Availability to work full-time (40 hrs / week) for June 1st –August 21st, 2026.
  • Able to work onsite at our studio in San Carlos, CA for the first 1-2 weeks for onboarding.
  • Legal eligibility to work in the United States.
  • Submission of a complete application including resume, cover letter, and portfolio link.

Nice to have

  • Portfolio demonstrating foundational Marketing skills focused on social media and/or community.
  • Exposure to industry-standard marketing and communication tools, platforms, or analytics dashboards.
  • Industry involvement outside classroom curriculum such as game jams, personal projects and/or contributions to group projects.
  • Willingness to tackle challenges, learn from feedback, and adapt to new tools or workflows.
  • Ability to communicate your ideas with eagerness to learn and turn feedback into action.
