Business Analyst (Fintech)

TL;DR

Business Analyst (Fintech): Gathering and documenting functional and technical requirements for financial systems and API integrations with an accent on developing functional specifications and ensuring effective system interoperability. Focus on diagnosing and resolving issues related to implemented systems and managing project and incident backlogs.

Location: Must be based in Brazil, with flexibility for remote, hybrid, or onsite work in São Paulo.

What you will do

• Gather and document functional and technical requirements, with a strong focus on API-related needs.
• Develop functional specifications, including detailed requirement documentation, system integrations, and operational flows.
• Support development teams during the build phase by clarifying requirements and refining specifications.
• Design and execute test scripts covering functional, technical, volume, and performance testing.
• Ensure effective system interoperability with trading platforms, back-office systems, and regulatory frameworks.
• Manage and prioritize project and incident backlogs, and provide operational support for implemented systems.

Requirements

• Advanced English proficiency (C1+) for reading, writing, and speaking.
• Experience in the financial services sector, particularly across custody, funds, assets, and liabilities.
• Hands-on experience with system development, especially API-based solutions.
• Strong proficiency in writing and optimizing queries using Oracle and SQL Server.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Economics, Financial Markets, or a related functional field.

Nice to have

• Experience with financial custody platforms such as TOTVS, YMF, Dimensa, or Megara.
• Advanced knowledge of systems analysis and documentation methodologies, including UML and BPMN.
• Familiarity with software factory concepts and financial integration standards such as FIX and SWIFT.
• CPA-20 or CEA certification.
