Technical Recruiter (AI/ML)

Location: US Remote; supports hiring for the Bay Area and London offices.

What you will do

• Source AI/ML engineers, machine learning researchers, robotics engineers, computer vision engineers, software engineers, embedded and edge engineers, and technical support engineers.
• Build and maintain talent pipelines through outbound sourcing, referrals, market mapping, LinkedIn Recruiter, GitHub, research papers, technical communities, and Boolean search.
• Own full-cycle recruiting, including sourcing, screening, interview coordination, offer management, and closing.
• Partner with hiring managers, engineering leaders, and founders to define technical requirements, hiring standards, and long-term team needs.
• Calibrate candidates on education, research depth, 0→1 building experience, and startup readiness while managing multiple searches and quarterly hiring targets.
• Maintain accurate candidate data and interview feedback in Ashby, and improve recruiting processes, candidate experience, sourcing strategy, and pipeline quality.

Requirements

• 2+ years of high-level technical recruiting experience.
• Demonstrated success recruiting AI/ML, machine learning research, robotics, computer vision, or similarly advanced technical profiles.
• Proven ability to close 1–2 highly technical hires per month and deliver against a quarterly hiring quota.
• Experience partnering directly with engineering leaders and founders, preferably in AI-first or deep-tech startups.
• Strong communication, organization, stakeholder-management, and sourcing skills.
• Experience recruiting candidates with advanced degrees and building technical recruiting processes from scratch.
