TL;DR

Director of Engineering: Leading teams to build robust, secure, and privacy-first infrastructure for a female health platform with an accent on technical roadmap definition, engineering excellence, and cloud infrastructure design. Focus on driving developer experience, optimizing CI/CD, and fostering high-performing engineering teams.

Location: Hybrid in the UK (3 days per week in office)

Salary: GBP 160,000 gross

What you will do

  • Define and evolve the technical roadmap to support significant growth and future architecture needs.
  • Champion a culture of engineering excellence, setting standards for clean code and smart testing.
  • Oversee the design of secure and scalable cloud infrastructure for millions of users.
  • Drive developer experience, optimizing CI/CD pipelines and tooling for efficient shipping.
  • Collaborate with Product leaders to translate product vision into technical realities.
  • Coach, mentor, and drive hiring strategies to scale high-performing engineering teams.

Requirements

  • Solid background in software architecture and modern development lifecycles.
  • Proven track record of managing other managers or overseeing multiple engineering teams.
  • Ability to take a complex product vision to completion on time.
  • Experience implementing best practices for incident management.
  • Strong negotiation and collaboration skills with Product, Design, and C-Suite.
  • Experience building diverse, high-performing teams.
