Finance Business Partner (Fintech)

TL;DR

Finance Business Partner (Fintech): Supporting the CFO and department heads in financial reporting, strengthening controls, enhancing commercial insight, and strategic decision-making. Location: Hybrid working in or around Cardiff, UK, with a minimum of 3 days per week in the office (Wednesday and Thursday obligatory).

What you will do

• Partner with CFO and department heads on budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning.
• Provide robust financial analysis and product profitability insights for commercial decisions.
• Prepare accurate monthly management accounts, statutory reporting, and tax filings.
• Own financial tasks including journals, ledgers, reconciliations, and expenses processing.
• Maintain and develop a strong financial controls framework and lead cash flow forecasting.
• Support international group reporting and manage external stakeholder relationships.

Requirements

• Significant experience in management accounting and finance business partnering.
• Strong experience in budgeting, forecasting, planning, and financial modelling.
• Experience in product profitability analysis and commercial performance reporting.
• Experience working within or supporting an international group structure.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge (balance sheet, P&L ownership) and excellent Excel skills.
• Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA).

Nice to have

• Experience or knowledge of the private markets industry or Fund Accounting.
• Experience supporting a high-growth technology business.
• Exposure to US accounting standards and reporting requirements.
• Familiarity with AI tools and automation technologies.
