What you will do

• Act as a front-line negotiator and business partner, creating compliant and business-aligned legal solutions.
• Coordinate with various internal stakeholders to drive transactions to successful completion within required timeframes.
• Maintain and enforce contracting policies, including obtaining approvals for non-standard terms.
• Assist sales teams with ongoing contract administration and advise management on contractual risks.
• Provide training to sales and other departments on contract issues and negotiation strategies.

Requirements

• JD from an accredited law school and active admission to a state bar.
• 4+ years of experience in an in-house legal or contracts department.
• Experience supporting a large, complex business environment in support of a sales-focused organization.
• Strong contract drafting skills with experience leading negotiations and balancing risk and opportunity.
• Hands-on experience negotiating key provisions such as Limitation of Liability, Indemnification, Warranties, Data Security, Data Privacy, and Confidentiality.
• Experience ensuring contract terms align with revenue recognition and accounting requirements.

Nice to have

• An understanding of credit and marketing data services, SaaS, licensed software, consulting, analytics, NDAs, SLAS, and MSAs.
