Location: In-person participation is required throughout the year. Team and company-wide offsites are held multiple times annually.

Salary: $218,025—$256,500 USD

What you will do

• Lead engineering teams building mission-critical systems for institutional crypto products.
• Translate vision into a roadmap, breaking down complex projects into smaller pieces.
• Be a technical voice, aiding in architectural decisions and fostering operational excellence.
• Coach direct reports and support their career growth.
• Collaborate with the talent organization to recruit exceptional engineers.
• Contribute to processes that drive engineering quality and meet SLAs.

Requirements

• At least 7 years of experience in software engineering.
• At least 1 year of engineering management experience.
• An ability to balance long-term strategic thinking with short-term planning.
• Experience in creating, delivering, and operating multi-tenanted, distributed systems at scale.
• You can be hands-on when needed.
• Your passion for building an open financial system drives you to excel in this role.

Nice to have

• You have gone through a rapid growth in your company (from 10 to 100s of engineers)
• You have experience with Blockchains (such as Bitcoin, Ethereum etc.)
• You’ve worked with Golang, Ruby, Docker, Sinatra, Rails, Postgres
• You’ve built financial, high reliability or security systems
• Crypto-forward experience, including familiarity with onchain activity such as interacting with Ethereum addresses, using ENS, and engaging with dApps or blockchain-based services.
