Technical Product Owner (Kubernetes)

Location: Must be based in the US, Canada, UK, Ireland, Estonia, Netherlands, Sweden, Israel, Mexico, or Colombia (full-time employee), or Eastern Europe (contractor).

What you will do

• Manage and sequence the product backlog, translating strategy into thin-sliced user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Conduct 3-5 customer calls weekly to validate hypotheses, identify friction, and refine product requirements.
• Collaborate daily with the Engineering team to navigate technical tradeoffs and ensure product intent is maintained during implementation.
• Define success metrics for components, such as adoption, retention, and reliability, and instrument learning loops.
• Ensure product requirements account for real-world cloud constraints, including IAM boundaries, auditability, and security guardrails.

Requirements

• Based in US, Canada, UK, Ireland, Estonia, Netherlands, Sweden, Israel, Mexico, Colombia, or Eastern Europe.
• 3+ years of product management experience specifically within the Kubernetes ecosystem.
• 2-5 years of experience working with public cloud infrastructure in production environments.
• Deep technical fluency in cloud fundamentals: IAM, networking, compute, observability, and billing.
• Strong product sense and ability to turn complex, ambiguous problems into clear, shippable value.
• Excellent communication skills for engaging with both technical experts and customers.

Nice to have

• Coding experience to collaborate effectively with engineers on feasibility and system behavior.
• Experience with developer tools, SaaS platforms, or early-stage startups.
• Background in analytics, growth, or UX research.
