IT Project Lead, SME (Cybersecurity)

Location: Washington, D.C.; on-site

Salary: $210,000–$250,000 per year

What you will do

• Lead the technical, operational, and financial execution of the Information Security as a Service program.
• Direct ISSO, ISSE, ISSR, and supporting teams across enterprise-scale systems.
• Serve as the primary technical liaison with DOJ, OCIO, ISRMU, Authorizing Officials, and other government stakeholders.
• Manage program schedules, budgets, staffing, subcontractor performance, forecasts, and required reporting.
• Lead cybersecurity risk management, authorization activities, continuous monitoring, incident response, and audit readiness.
• Establish quality assurance programs, standard operating procedures, metrics, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Active TS clearance with the ability to obtain an SCI clearance.
• CISSP certification required.
• Senior-level experience leading enterprise-scale cybersecurity, RMF, ISSO/ISSE, or information assurance programs.
• Expertise with NIST RMF, FISMA, and federal authorization processes.
• Experience managing large, multi-team programs with budget, staffing, schedule, scope, and performance accountability.
• Experience serving as a primary technical liaison with senior government stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting DOJ or Intelligence Community customers.
• Experience with performance-based or firm-fixed-price contracts.
• Familiarity with portfolio-based ISSO/ISSE delivery models and scalable authorization approaches.
• Experience introducing automation or tooling to improve RMF efficiency and consistency.
