What you will do

• Own the entire design process from discovery and problem framing through to prototyping and polished, production-ready designs that deliver impact.
• Create elegant, intuitive, and aesthetically refined interfaces that prioritize detail, interactions, and overall design quality.
• Communicate design rationale and UX strategy effectively through storytelling and artifacts to ensure clarity and alignment across product and engineering teams.
• Act as a design leader by providing and soliciting feedback, mentoring peers, and contributing to a culture of detail-obsession and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in product design with a proven track record of shipping impactful work.
• Experience designing SaaS-based products.
• Strong visual sensibility (typography, hierarchy, layout) combined with thoughtful UX design (flows, IA, cross-platform).
• Ability to advocate for design principles and clearly explain rationale, ensuring cohesion and consistency.
• Proficiency in owning the design process end-to-end, from research and framing to prototyping and iteration.
• Comfort with complex systems, simplifying them into intuitive and trustworthy experiences.
• Experience using generative and evaluative research to frame problems and validate solutions, collaborating with product and data teams.
• Experience experimenting with AI tools for prototyping or user-facing experiences.

Nice to have

• Experience in fintech, SaaS, or other complex system domains.
• Familiarity with front-end development, motion design, or illustration.
• Experience mentoring or coaching peers.

Hiring process

• Initial 45-minute Google Meet call with the People team.
• Portfolio review (60 minutes) with the Director of Product Design, Staff Design Engineer, and Staff Product Manager.
• Take-home assignment followed by a 60-minute presentation call with Product team members.
