What you will do
- Design, build, deliver, and own full lifecycle software from inception to production.
- Drive complex changes involving multiple components in a distributed system environment.
- Deliver quality changes, including automated tests, metrics, and monitoring.
- Implement and maintain product features, validating changes for high-quality releases.
- Collaborate with team members and guide product feature changes.
- Lead others through example, mentorship, and participate in hiring.
Requirements
- Location: Must be a resident of CO, CA, IL, NY, WA, or Washington DC.
- 4+ years of software development engineering experience.
- Solid understanding of computer science and engineering fundamentals.
- Experience working with distributed systems.
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages: C#, Java, C, C++, Python, SQL, or Scala.
- English: B2 required for effective communication across technical and non-technical audiences.
Nice to have
- Knowledge of software development code editors (Visual Studio, Rider) and version control systems (Git, Perforce).
- Experience with database engines (Microsoft SQL Server, Postgres, Aerospike, Vertica, Redis).
- Experience building microservices, operating systems, cloud, Kubernetes, Kafka.
