What you will do

• Design and build scalable backend services that power member-provider matching, ranking, and precision care routing.
• Operationalize machine learning and decisioning logic into reliable production services.
• Lead the delivery of complex technical projects from initial conception through to deployment.
• Mentor and guide other engineers, fostering growth and upholding high engineering standards.
• Drive the integration of observability, performance monitoring, and system resiliency features.
• Participate in on-call rotations to support overall system reliability and resolve production issues.

Requirements

• 6–8+ years of experience in software development with a focus on backend systems.
• Expertise in at least one of the following: Ruby on Rails, Java, C#, or Python.
• Proven experience architecting complex systems or microservices.
• Fluency in SQL and experience with modern data tooling such as DBT and Snowflake.
• Experience with containerization and cloud infrastructure tools like Docker and AWS.
• Must be based in or able to relocate independently to the San Francisco metro area.

Nice to have

• Experience with ML-powered product systems, recommendation/ranking systems, or experimentation-driven platforms.
