Location: San Francisco, CA or New York City, NY. Hybrid policy requires staff to be in one of our offices at least 25% of the time.

Salary: $280,000–$320,000 USD

What you will do

• Partner with flagship life sciences research institutions to accelerate discovery using AI.
• Build hands-on with partner engineering teams, prototyping and contributing code to integrate AI into scientific workflows.
• Develop ecosystem infrastructure like MCP servers, benchmarks, and reusable agent skills for broad life sciences application.
• Design and evaluate agentic scientific workflows for experimental design, analysis, and interpretation.
• Identify deployment challenges in life sciences AI and provide feedback to product/engineering.
• Create technical content and documentation to enable partner self-service globally.

Requirements

• 4+ years as a Software Engineer, Forward Deployed Engineer, or technical founder with production system experience.
• Deep experience building LLM-powered applications, including prompting, context engineering, and agent architectures.
• Meaningful exposure to life sciences, biomedical research, or scientific computing.
• Ability to work across the scientific stack, critically reading papers and evaluating domain-specific tasks.
• Strong builder credibility and a scrappy founder mentality.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• Expected to be in one of our San Francisco or New York City offices at least 25% of the time.
