What you will do
- Develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategy for the Public Sector across federal agencies, state and local government, defense, and regulatory bodies.
- Craft differentiated positioning and messaging across solutions pages, campaign materials, and content for distinct public sector audiences.
- Lead go-to-market for product and solution launches, including sector-specific offerings and relevant integrations.
- Partner with communications on executive thought leadership regarding AI's potential to benefit underserved communities.
- Drive thought leadership initiatives, speaking engagements, and event opportunities relevant to the public sector.
- Enable sales teams with compelling materials, outbound campaigns, and pipeline-driving initiatives for public sector enterprise accounts.
Requirements
- 8+ years of marketing experience with meaningful exposure or genuine interest in the public sector, government technology, or GovTech space.
- Ability to thrive in a 0-to-1 environment, building processes where none exist and navigating ambiguity.
- Adaptable generalist with competency across multiple marketing functions (content, campaigns, social, analytics, sales enablement).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, able to translate complex AI capabilities into clear narratives for non-technical audiences.
- Excellent cross-functional collaboration skills, acting as a connective tissue between teams.
- Passion for AI's potential to benefit underserved communities while maintaining focus on responsible, equitable deployment.
- Ability to work from the San Francisco office at least 2 days a week.
- At least a Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience is required.
Nice to have
- Direct experience marketing to government audiences, including familiarity with federal, state/local, or international public sector procurement processes.
- Experience working in or with public sector organizations, understanding distinct priorities and decision-making dynamics.
- Experience with event marketing at public sector conferences (e.g., GovTech, ACT-IAC, NGA, NIST-adjacent events).
- Background in enterprise sales enablement, particularly in complex or regulated industries.
- Track record of building marketing programs from scratch at a growth-stage company.
- Demonstrated interest in the responsible deployment of AI in public-facing contexts, including awareness of ethical considerations.
