Location: Remote, US-based due to US-specific benefits and legal requirements. In-person participation is required throughout the year for team and company-wide offsites.

Salary: $218,025–$256,500 USD

What you will do

• Architect and develop distributed systems.
• Provide technical structure and define strategic roadmaps with management and stakeholders.
• Manage individual project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.
• Mentor and train other team members on design techniques and coding standards.
• Design and implement foundational infrastructure components.
• Write high-quality, well-tested code for customers.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in software engineering.
• Proven experience architecting and developing solutions to ambiguous problems with significant impact.
• Passion for building an open financial system.
• English: B2+ required.
• Must have US work authorization.

Nice to have

• Experience with rapid company growth (from 10 to 100s of engineers).
• Experience with Blockchains (such as Bitcoin, Ethereum etc.).
• Experience decomposing a large monolith into microservices.
• Experience with Golang, Ruby, Docker, Sinatra, Rails, Postgres.
• Experience building financial, high reliability, or security systems.
• Crypto-forward experience, including onchain activity (Ethereum addresses, ENS, dApps).
