What you will do

• Architect and scale a central Cost Library for global costs, pushing data to Finance and Billing systems.
• Develop tools to digitize complex procurement contracts, creating a "single source of truth" visibility.
• Collaborate closely with business partners, product managers, and operations teams to translate complex business problems into elegant technical solutions.
• Ship code rapidly within a close-knit engineering team that ships to production dozens of times per day.
• Obsess over metrics and high-quality bars, ensuring system reliability through key learnings from post-mortems.

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional software development experience with a strong engineering background.
• 2+ years of experience in system design and architecture, including familiarity with OOA/OOD and design patterns.
• Proficiency in modern programming languages such as Java, Kotlin, and Ruby on Rails.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• A "bias for action" mindset and an aptitude for learning quickly.

Nice to have

• Prior experience in financial technology, billing, or automated procurement.
• Experience building large-scale, high-performance systems in a multi-tiered, distributed environment.
• Understanding of performance tradeoffs, load balancing, and operational issues.
• A love for simple, well-tested code that is easy to extend and hard to break.
• The ability to convey technical ideas in common terms to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
