Salary: $208,000–$260,000 USD (annual base salary for CA)

What you will do

• Lead the design and development of distributed, cloud-native backend services for the Identity and Trust Platform.
• Define and implement foundational data models and APIs for customer, entity, and user records.
• Drive strategic migration of core identity logic from legacy systems into resilient, platform-first services.
• Design and build core platform capabilities, including unified entitlements and shared compliance context.
• Partner with Product, Compliance, and other engineering teams to define standard integration patterns.
• Champion engineering excellence in architecture, code quality, testing, and operational practices.

Requirements

• 8+ years experience in Software Engineering, with a significant focus on backend systems.
• Deep, hands-on experience building and operating modern, cloud-native, and highly-available distributed systems at scale.
• Proven track record designing and delivering foundational, large-scale systems in complex, regulated environments.
• Expert-level skills in API design and integration (REST and/or gRPC).
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred) and container orchestration (Kubernetes, ECS).
• Strong technical leadership skills, including setting architectural direction and mentoring engineers.

Nice to have

• Experience with Java + Spring Boot (candidates from Go, Kotlin, C#, Python, Rust encouraged to learn JVM technologies).
• Experience with event-driven architecture (Kafka, SNS/SQS).
• Domain knowledge in FinTech, RegTech, KYC/KYB, identity verification, or compliance-heavy systems.
