TL;DR

Account Director (AI): Driving sales and AI adoption within state and local government agencies with an accent on comprehensive account planning, complex deal strategy, and consumption revenue management. Focus on building trusted relationships with senior government executives and leveraging AI to advance their missions.

Location: Hybrid in Washington D.C. or San Francisco, USA. Relocation assistance available to the US.

Salary: $178,200 – $301,500 USD + Equity

What you will do

  • Manage key state and local government accounts, developing and executing comprehensive account plans.
  • Lead government customers through their AI adoption journey, from consideration to successful deployment.
  • Partner with solutions and research engineering to build and execute complex government programs.
  • Own and manage state and local government consumption revenue targets and oversee forecasting.
  • Monitor the state and local government landscape (agencies, policies, competitors) to inform product roadmaps.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with various internal teams to support the government practice.

Requirements

  • 10+ years selling platform-as-a-service and/or software-as-a-service specifically into state and local government accounts.
  • Achieved state and local government revenue targets of >$2M per year consistently over multiple years.
  • Experience designing and executing complex federal deal strategies, including familiarity with government contracting and procurement processes.
  • Proven ability to work directly with senior government executives and state and local government agency leaders.
  • Strong communication skills to clearly convey technical and strategic concepts to government customers and internal stakeholders.
  • A strategist who deeply understands go-to-market best practices and plans years ahead, aligning internal and external stakeholders.
  • Customer-centric approach, motivated to deeply understand government customers’ priorities and help them achieve missions using AI.
  • Passion or deep curiosity about artificial intelligence, with enthusiasm for educating government customers on AI capabilities.
