Team Lead Scala (Analytics): Leading a team of 7 senior engineers to develop and optimize a customer-facing analytics solution for the RingEX suite with an accent on high-scale data processing and concurrent WebSocket connections. Focus on guiding architectural decisions, hands-on contribution to the codebase, and mentorship for senior engineers.

Location: Hybrid, requiring 4 days onsite presence at an office in Spain or Bulgaria. The team is distributed across Europe.

What you will do

• Own the delivery process and refine workflows to ensure predictable releases.
• Actively contribute to the codebase, including building proofs-of-concept and solving complex technical challenges.
• Guide architectural decision-making and balance feature delivery with technical debt management.
• Facilitate the growth of senior engineers through educational code reviews and career guidance.
• Work closely with Product Management to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.

Requirements

• Experience leading a team of 5+ developers, including hiring, mentorship, and managing distributed/remote teams.
• Hands-on leadership with willingness to write code, debug complex issues, and actively contribute to the repository.
• Strong belief in DevOps fundamentals and hands-on experience with Kubernetes and cloud providers (GCP preferred).
• Strong background in JVM development; proficiency in Functional Programming (Scala) is a significant advantage.
• English: B2 required.
• Work format: Hybrid, requiring 4 days onsite presence at an office in Spain or Bulgaria.
