What you will do

• Lead analytical initiatives to improve credit underwriting and manage portfolio risk.
• Support the design and implementation of lending strategies based on data insights.
• Monitor the performance of existing strategies and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Develop and maintain credit models to inform strategic decision-making.
• Build and enhance dashboards, data pipelines, and reporting for rapid, data-driven decisions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners to design and deliver product changes and features.

Requirements

• Experience in unsecured retail lending (e.g., credit cards, personal loans, overdrafts, etc.).
• A solid understanding of lending economics, including pricing, risk trade-offs, and portfolio performance metrics.
• History of developing and deploying underwriting strategies or credit risk frameworks.
• Excellent analytical and data skills - SQL is essential, Python and Looker are a plus.
• Ability to translate complex analysis into actionable recommendations and communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Knowledge of UK lending regulations and how they shape credit strategy.
