TL;DR

Director, Enterprise Sales (AI): Building and leading a high-performing enterprise sales team responsible for driving revenue across the full customer lifecycle within the central U.S. region with an accent on establishing scalable sales playbooks, refining processes, and fostering a culture of excellence. Focus on accelerating sales cycles and integrating customer feedback into product development for an AI startup.

Location: Onsite in Austin, Texas, US.

What you will do

  • Lead and develop a team of Enterprise Account Directors and Account Managers.
  • Own a regional team quota by driving net new sales, expansions, and renewals.
  • Recruit, hire, and onboard top enterprise sales talent.
  • Coach the team to navigate complex customer organizations, including C-suite and AI leaders.
  • Establish and refine sales processes and deal strategies for revenue growth.
  • Partner cross-functionally with engineering, product, and GTM leadership.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of sales experience with a track record of consistently exceeding quota.
  • 3+ years of experience leading and managing enterprise sales teams.
  • Demonstrated success selling deeply technical products to large, complex organizations.
  • Experience building teams (recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and developing talent).
  • Strong executive presence with the ability to engage and influence C-suite stakeholders.
  • Technical acumen to understand customer pain points and articulate product solutions.

Nice to have

  • Experience selling AI, developer tools, or infrastructure software.
  • Previously founded a startup or operated in an early-stage environment.
  • Background as a software engineer, sales engineer, or studied computer science.
  • Built enterprise sales teams from the ground up.
  • Power user of AI tools with genuine curiosity about the space.
