What you will do

• Identify, engage, and secure new business opportunities in South Africa and the region.
• Build strong strategic partnerships with financial institutions, fintech firms, payment providers, and government entities.
• Design and implement go-to-market strategies to expand Tether’s products and services.
• Conduct in-depth market research to identify trends, threats, and growth opportunities.
• Manage relationships with regulators, government agencies, and industry bodies.
• Support and participate in fintech events, conferences, and meetups to enhance brand visibility.

Requirements

• 7-10 years work experience in cross-border settlements, mobile money, and payment infrastructures; telecom or banking experience is a plus.
• Deep knowledge of the African market, culture, and regulations in blockchain, fintech, remittances, and payments.
• Degree in Business, Management, or Finance (MBA preferred).
• Fluent in English.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills with partners, regulators, and stakeholders.
• Proven experience in partnerships, KPI monitoring, and business growth.
