Engineering Manager (Fintech)

What you will do

• Lead, mentor, and support a dedicated engineering team, guiding them through complex technical problems.
• Define the strategy for new services to interact with and decouple from the existing Ruby on Rails monolith.
• Spearhead the architecture and delivery of a new, public-facing API, defining patterns for safe logic exposure.
• Be central to the discussion and implementation of a new, secure authentication and authorization layer.
• Ensure all builds are scalable, secure, and designed for a multi-tenant SaaS environment.
• Responsible for end-to-end delivery, managing the technical roadmap, and balancing business goals with architectural vision.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Engineering Manager with strong people management and talent development.
• Deep, hands-on experience in the SaaS world, building, securing, and scaling a publicly available API.
• Strong background in Ruby on Rails, able to guide engineers working with the core monolith.
• Firm grasp of distributed systems and modern authentication technologies (OAuth 2.0, JWT).
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to partner effectively with product, business, and other engineering teams.
