What you will do

• Own the architecture of critical cloud service domains, ensuring design integrity, scalability, reliability, security, and technical debt management.
• Lead planning and execution of cloud architecture improvements, enhancing scalability, availability, and operational efficiency.
• Drive adoption of modern cloud-native development practices and AI-assisted software engineering for cloud service development.
• Set and uphold high standards for service reliability, security, observability, and performance.
• Mentor senior and mid-level engineers, raising the bar for cloud architecture and distributed systems design.
• Stay ahead of industry trends in AWS services, cloud-native architectures, and AI-enabled operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s and/or master’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Software, Electrical, or Electronics Engineering, or a comparable field of study.
• 10+ years of professional software engineering experience, with 2+ years at staff level.
• Strong proficiency in Python, with working experience in Java, building backend and cloud-based services.
• Deep experience designing, building, and operating scalable enterprise-grade applications on AWS.
• Proven ability to lead service refactoring and software architecture modernization initiatives.
• Strong experience with infrastructure-as-code and automation tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Proficiency with AI-assisted development processes and tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, particularly around architecture, risk, and reliability.
