Platform Engineer

TL;DR

Platform Engineer: Participating in cross-functional engineering projects and building reliable services for public sector clients with an accent on open-source software and modern technologies. Focus on technical leadership, automation and high availability production environments.

Location: Worthing, Bristol, Manchester, Woking, Birmingham, Newcastle, London, Leeds, Telford. Hybrid working model with a blend of company offices, client sites, and home.

What you will do

• Undertake cross-functional engineering projects in small teams.
• Work with modern open-source technology and software architectures such as microservices and cloud technology.
• Help achieve the vision of digital transformation within the UK Public Sector.
• Develop and progress skills through modern learning environments.

Requirements

• Experience debugging complex, multi-server service in a high availability production environment.
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Sound knowledge of Linux, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Experience building infrastructure in AWS using Terraform.
• Experience in automation tooling such as Ansible.
• Must be eligible for SC (Security Check) Clearance (by being a UK resident for at least 5 years and not having left the country for more than 28 consecutive days during this period).
