TL;DR

Head of HR (Space): Leading the global HR function and serving as a strategic partner to the executive team, focusing on people strategy, organizational design, and talent management for a dynamic space tech startup. Focus on driving organizational transformation, ensuring HR compliance across international locations, and developing scalable HR processes to accelerate business success.

Location: Onsite in Helsinki, Finland, with support for relocation to Finland. Company has subsidiaries in Bristol, UK and Bariloche, Argentina.

What you will do

  • Lead and develop the global HR function, covering People Operations, Organizational Development, Learning & Development, and HR Compliance.
  • Translate business strategy into an actionable HR strategy and people roadmap in partnership with the executive team.
  • Drive organizational design, workforce planning, and change management initiatives to support growth and efficiency.
  • Own talent management, succession planning, retention programs, and leadership development across all levels.
  • Design and oversee performance management processes and compensation strategy to ensure competitiveness and equity.
  • Ensure HR operations are efficient, scalable, compliant with international employment law, and supported by people analytics.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of progressive HR leadership experience with strategic and operational responsibilities in an international environment.
  • Proven experience managing HR teams and leading cross-functional HR programs for scale-ups or startups.
  • Expertise in organizational design, performance frameworks, talent management, leadership development, and culture transformation.
  • Deep understanding of employment law, HR compliance, and risk management with international exposure.
  • Track record of building and scaling robust, data-driven HR processes across multiple geographies.
  • Strong influencing and stakeholder management skills with the ability to advise C-suite leaders.
