Lead Research Analyst (Financial Crime)

TL;DR

Lead Research Analyst (Financial Crime): Providing search and analysis through reputable sources related to publicly exposed persons (PEP), companies, and institutions to support KYC regulations and reduce financial or reputational risk with an accent on language skills, journalistic approach, and critical thinking. Focus on identifying regulatory and financial risk such as money laundering, fraud, organized crime, narcotics trafficking, and corruption, and ensuring data accuracy and high quality.

Location: The position is located in our Gdynia office and it requires your presence in the office at least 3 times a week.

Salary: zł80,000 – zł128,000 annually (gross base)

What you will do

• Research reputable media, government, regulatory and law enforcement sources to build and maintain relevant data.
• Use open-source research methods to gather information in the public domain.
• Identify regulatory and financial risk such as money laundering, fraud, organized crime, narcotics trafficking, and corruption.
• Become familiar and stay up to date with guidelines and regulations to ensure accuracy and high quality of delivered work.
• Collaborate with globally based teams on shared projects.

Requirements

• Proficiency in English and Polish.
• Critical thinking, analytical skills, and attention to details.
• Organization skills.
• Very good use of Microsoft Office applications.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.

Nice to have

• Awareness of the socio-political context of the countries matching your language skills.
• Know Your Customer / Anti-Money Laundering / Financial Crime knowledge and experience.
