Salary: $147,200 – $225,000 USD

What you will do

• Maintain and evolve billing and metering infrastructure, including Stripe Orb integrations and usage aggregation, to ensure accurate customer invoices.
• Build event tracking pipelines for traffic, session logging, and usage patterns, including compliance and analytics systems.
• Develop and evolve systems that turn raw product usage into clear, accurate, and trusted customer views, eliminating billing confusion.
• Manage IP metadata services and systems connecting traffic patterns to customer accounts, ensuring billing reliability and automated reconciliation.
• Collaborate closely with product, platform, finance, and support teams to deliver reliable and accessible data.

Requirements

• Experience building backend or data-heavy systems with high standards for correctness.
• Comfortable with statically typed, compiled languages such as Go, Rust, C++, or Java (Go is a bonus).
• Experience working with event streams, usage data, or high-volume pipelines.
• Enjoy thinking about data models, invariants, and failure modes.
• Care about developer experience, including for those consuming your data.
• Must be US-based and legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Worked on metering, billing, or pricing systems.
• Experience with event-driven or streaming architectures.
• Developed customer-facing analytics or usage reporting.
• Experience with systems where small discrepancies become large conversations.
