What you will do
- Build and manage engineering teams, guiding feature, service, and infrastructure development.

- Serve as a thoughtful technical voice, aiding architectural decisions and fostering high-quality code.

- Contribute to and own processes for engineering quality and SLA adherence.
Requirements
- 9+ years of experience managing critical datastore infrastructure with high transaction throughput.
- Track record of architecting and scaling databases with partitioning, sharding, and distributed DBs.
- Hands-on experience with Relational & NoSQL databases, including Postgres, MongoDB, DynamoDB, Redis, and ElasticSearch.
- Real-world experience designing scale-out infrastructure and triaging performance/reliability issues in a distributed environment.
- Leadership in advancing developer experience and enforcing standards via self-service tools.
- Proven experience managing infra budget, contracts, and vendors for efficiency.
- Effective communication of technical aspects, guidelines, and tradeoffs to various stakeholders.
- Ability to build and nurture multiple sub-teams with a big vision and roadmap.
