Location: Hybrid in San Mateo, CA, United States (onsite Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday).
Salary: $304,560–$362,740 USD annually

What you will do
- Lead design for a core area of hirify.global Social, creating experiences that help users connect and communicate meaningfully.
- Own end-to-end feature design: research synthesis, concept exploration, prototyping, interaction design, visual polish, and final specs.
- Translate complex requirements, including safety and policy constraints, into clear, user-centered product solutions.
- Partner closely with Product and Engineering to shape roadmaps, define requirements, and drive decisions through tradeoffs.
- Collaborate with Research and Data Science to define success metrics, learn from experiments, and iterate based on insights.
- Ensure high-quality implementation through close collaboration with engineering and strong attention to detail.
Requirements
- 10+ years of professional experience as a UX/Product Designer, including experience leading projects independently.
- A portfolio demonstrating strong craft, end-to-end product thinking, and shipped work with clear user and business impact.
- Experience designing consumer products, ideally in social, communication, community, or identity spaces.
- Ability to navigate ambiguity and drive alignment across cross-functional partners.
- A Bachelor’s degree in HCI, Interaction Design, Ergonomics, or equivalent practical experience.
- Must be based at headquarters in San Mateo, CA for hybrid work.
Nice to have
- Strong storytelling skills: Can clearly communicate design rationale to exec and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Comfort designing across platforms (mobile, desktop, console/10ft).
- Experience building scalable patterns or contributing to design systems.
- Experience designing for safety-by-default systems (filtering, reporting, consent, privacy, integrity).
