What you will do
- Design, develop, and fine-tune defense logic to effectively mitigate complex DDoS attacks.
- Optimize and enhance current pipelines for automated threat detection, mitigation, and comprehensive reporting.
- Collaborate with system administrators to drive the automation of operational tasks and infrastructure provisioning.
- Develop and maintain robust APIs/interfaces for seamless integration of defense capabilities.
- Manage and troubleshoot high-availability and complex defense infrastructure, including active participation in a rotating on-call service schedule.
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science or a comparable educational background.
- Ability to communicate fluently in English with an international team is required.
- Several years of experience in system-near development of highly available, scalable software using Go, C, Python, PHP, or Bash.
- Experience in writing application logic with Lua scripting, particularly with NGINX.
- Practical hands-on experience operating and configuring NGINX as a reverse proxy, load balancer, or Web Application Firewall (WAF).
- Deep commitment to Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation.
- Familiarity with advanced networking concepts, including BGP, flowspec, anycast routing, and Linux systems.
- Excellent analytical skills for evaluating complex DDoS attacks and designing countermeasures.
